Walks – Accessible Dartmoor

Granite way, near Haytor accessible route on Dartmoor

Everyone deserves the right to some glorious Dartmoor fresh air, Miles without Stiles aims to create accessible routes for all. This is a 1-2km pathway for a disabled rambler, commencing your excursion from Haytor middle car park, just up from the National Park Visitor Centre. Templar Way is at the start of this walk a tramway opened in 1820 carrying granite from the quarries to Teignmouth docks.

This is a Disabled Ramblers category 2/3 walk, meaning it’s suitable for some walkers with disabilities. Expect some gentle uphill sections on the route up and a few steep climbs as you pass through the quarry.
