Afternoon Tea

Taste tradition with an afternoon tea on Dartmoor

Afternoon tea in Dartmoor National Park – can it get any better than that? A scrumptious home-cooked scone, lashings of locally sourced clotted cream and miles of untamed beauty unravelling in all directions. It’s the quintessential English countryside on a plate. Perfect.

Join us at the White Hart Hotel and we’ll make this idyllic dream come true. Nestled in the friendly market town of Moretonhampstead, our Grade II-listed Georgian hostelry provides the perfect setting for a taste of British tradition. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just fancy a cheeky treat, you won’t find a better spot for afternoon tea on Dartmoor.

What to expect

Ready for a potful of indulgence? Our afternoon tea represents Dartmoor tradition at its tastiest. The star attraction is the classic Devon cream tea – a warm, home-baked scone with decadent dollops of clotted cream and strawberry jam. You’ll also enjoy freshly made finger sandwiches, a generous slice of cake and a wide selection of hot drinks to wash it all down.

Or how about a dash of fizz? Upgrade to our sparkling afternoon tea and you can sip the afternoon away with a  glass of sparkling wine.

Served from 10:00am to 5:00pm

Vegetarian and vegan afternoon teas are available if booked in advance
